Macroporous Uranium Removal Anion Exchange Resins

Uranium Anion Exchange Resin is a resin material specifically designed for extracting or removing uranium from a solution. Uranium usually exists in solution in the form of uranate ions (UO2VO4 or UO2 (SO4) 2, etc.), especially in nuclear industry wastewater, ore leachate, or other industrial wastewater containing uranium. Due to uranium being a radioactive element, proper treatment of uranium containing wastewater is crucial for environmental protection.

These resins are usually strong alkaline anion exchange resins that contain functional groups that can bind with uranate ions, such as quaternary ammonium groups ([R4N]+). These functional groups can release mobile positive ions (such as sodium ions Na+) in water and exchange them with negatively charged uranate ions. In this way, uranium is adsorbed onto the resin and removed from the solution.
