Weakly Acidic Polyacrylic Cation Resin for Sugar Decolorization

The functional groups of the ion exchange tree are acrylic acid and methyl acrylic acid. The weakly acidic ion exchange resin has a weak acid functional group called（- COOH）, which can dissociate in water and release hydrogen ions (H ⁺) into the solution. When the resin is placed in a solution containing cations (e.g., Ca²⁺, Na⁺), it exchanges those cations with the hydrogen ions (H⁺) or other cations attached to the resin. The exchanged ions are then held by the resin, while the released hydrogen ions move into the solution, potentially lowering the pH.
